A jam-packed month of updates: new profile tabs, a complete calendar system with live stream detection, daily challenges, faster page loads, and notifications that actually work. Here's everything we've been building for the TinkerAtlas community.
<p class="mb 2" It's been a busy month here at TinkerAtlas, and we've been heads down building features that we hope make your time on the platform more enjoyable. Let's dig into what's changed.</p <h3 class="font bold" Your Profile Got Some Love</h3 <p class="mb 2" We've added three new tabs to user profiles: Posts, Projects, and Comments. Now you can easily browse through someone's contributions without endless scrolling. Found a maker whose work you admire? Now it's much easier to explore everything they've shared. This also works on your own profile, so you can finally find that post you made three weeks ago without the "I know it's here somewhere" frustration.</p <h3 class="font bold" Notifications Actually Work Now</h3 <p class="mb 2" Look, we'll be honest. Notifications were... temperamental. Sometimes they'd show up, sometimes they'd ghost you entirely. We've rebuilt the entire notification system from the ground up. They're real time now, they work properly on mobile, and clicking them actually takes you where you need to go. Revolutionary stuff, we know.</p <h3 class="font bold" Image Uploads Got a Major Upgrade</h3 <p class="mb 2" Uploading images used to be a bit of a gamble. Now it's smooth. We've bumped the limit to 15MB (plenty of room for those high res build photos), added automatic compression so your images look great without eating bandwidth, and made error messages actually helpful instead of cryptic. You can also add photos to your printer upgrades and maintenance logs now, so documenting those mods is easier than ever.</p <h3 class="font bold" Events and Calendar Are Here</h3 <p class="mb 2" This one's big. TinkerAtlas now has a full <a target=" blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" class="text blue 600 hover:text blue 800 dark:text blue 400 dark:hover:text blue 200 underline cursor pointer transition colors" href="https://tinkeratlas.com/calendar" calendar</a system where you can discover and create community events. Whether it's a local maker meetup, a virtual hangout, a planned video premiere, or a live print stream, it's all in one place.</p <p class="mb 2" The calendar supports week, month, and agenda views. You can create recurring events. And here's the fun part: drop in a YouTube, Twitch, Kick, or Facebook stream URL and the system automatically detects it and shows a live indicator when you're broadcasting. We've even added a collapsible banner on mobile so you can catch live streams without it taking over your screen.</p <h3 class="font bold" Speed Improvements</h3 <p class="mb 2" Nobody likes waiting for pages to load, so we've optimized feed loading, made sponsor content load smarter, and improved how components render. The site should feel snappier across the board, especially on mobile.</p <h3 class="font bold" Daily Challenges Have Landed</h3 <p class="mb 2" We've launched a rotating daily challenges system to give you new ways to engage with the community and earn XP. It ties into the <a target=" blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" class="text blue 600 hover:text blue 800 dark:text blue 400 dark:hover:text blue 200 underline cursor pointer transition colors" href="https://tinkeratlas.com/achievements" achievement</a system, so completing challenges contributes to your overall progress. We're excited to see how the community takes to this one.</p <h3 class="font bold" Little Things That Matter</h3 <p class="mb 2" You can now hover over reactions to see who reacted to a post. It's a small touch, but it makes the community feel a bit more connected. We've also done a bunch of security hardening behind the scenes because keeping your data safe isn't optional.</p <hr <h3 class="font bold" Keep TinkerAtlas Growing</h3 <p class="mb 2" All of this work happens because of the community's support. If you've been enjoying the platform and want to help keep the lights on (and fund the next round of features), check out the <strong Support TinkerAtlas</strong widget. Every contribution helps us build something special for the maker community, and don't forget that you get the<a target=" blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" class="text blue 600 hover:text blue 800 dark:text blue 400 dark:hover:text blue 200 underline cursor pointer transition colors" href="https://tinkeratlas.com/founding members" Founding Member Badges</a on your profile in the feed etc. :)</p <p class="mb 2" Thanks for being part of this. Now go make something cool.</p
